Songland is Back!

A new season of Songland premiered this week, and in my opinion, it is the greatest music competition show on television. This is must watch TV for all Melomaniacs!! If you haven’t watched, the premise of the show is song writers pitching their original works to some of today’s hottest artists. Not only do they get the opportunity to pitch their song to artists, but the top 3 songwriters of the week are afforded the opportunity to work with three of the hottest songwriter/producers in the game. The judges, Ester Dean, Shane McArially, and Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic are responsible for some of the greatest pop, country, and R&B songs that are probably on your playlist; or you’ve definitely heard them on the radio. Unlike other competition shows, there is a new winner each week, meaning they are making multiple dreams come true.
For me, this show is like a Melomaniacs’ dream come true. My favorite part is the process of it all. The songwriter may come in with a great song or a song that needs a little work. Either way, with the help of the featured artist that week and the judges a hit is made. Seeing how the song is reconstructed, watching the ideas flow, and then hearing the finished is amazing.. I’m so awe struck by this show; I almost always immediately download the song once the show ends. I’ve been watching Songland since the first episode, and not once have I been disappointed. If you haven’t seen this show, do yourself a favor and check it out Monday nights on NBC. Like I always say, trust me, I wouldn’t steer you wrong!

Definitely a display of great talent! 🙏🏾
Love Song Land! Awesome write-up.
